SEC's Solution Development Group develops and assists in the development of applications to augment Konica's printing systems. The SDG is responsible for developing applications that can be used with Konica products to create or expand market opportunities. We develop both large and small applications and utilities as needed by Konica's customers to streamline their document production requirements and enable them to use Konica's products to their best advantage. In addition, we also coordinate all 3rd party development efforts and contract application development with Konica products to best utilize the technology to meet our customers' requirements.

The Systems Engineering Center (SEC), located in Windsor, CT, is an important part of Konica Minolta's research and development activities. Comprised of development and quality assurance groups, the SEC is charged with providing solutions for Konica Minolta's customers. Starting in 2001 we focused our efforts on providing our customers with a wide range of applications to fit their needs. Scantrip and Dispatcher are just the tip of the iceberg. Scantrip

SEC's Scantrip Utility is a cost effect way for departments and workgroups to conveniently implement network scanning. The SEC Scantrip Utility allows users to upload documents scanned on the Konica Minolta workgroup, departmental or production document systems.

An image retrieval application, Scantrip functions with Konica Minolta engines that feature Scan-to-File technology. A user who has stored images in a mailbox can retrieve those images with Scantrip. All that is needed is the IP address of the engine and the mailbox number. Once this information has been supplied to Scantrip, the user only needs to click the "Check" button to check the mailbox for stored images. If the mailbox contains images, the filenames of those images are then presented to the user along with buttons that control the retrieval and deletion of those images.

For automation of scanning tasks, Scantrip also sports a special mode called Auto-Polling, which periodically checks the user's mailbox for images automatically. If images are found, Scantrip retrieves and places those images in a user specified directory. This feature integrates Konica Minolta's Scan-to-File technology with 3rd party applications by delivering the images to the application without the need for special programming.

Discpatcher

Konica Minolta Dispatcher document task automation solution allows you to streamline and simplify your most popular and often-used document manipulation functions (scan, clean, split, merge, annotate, etc.); and do it all automatically. An easy-to use task automation application, KMBS Dispatcher performs routine document routing, printing, backup and manipulation functions of TIFF and Jpg files.

• Split & Merge TIFF's - Scanned multi-page documents can be separated into multiple files, separated files can be combined into one file.
