High-performance bizhub OP design. Combines three important enhancements for multifunctional productivity: 1), bizhub Architecture, to improve performance, security and account/device management; 2), the Emperon™ Print System, that integrates fast document output with simple user interface, and 3), bizhub Open API, to allow custom integration with future third-party software.

Simple operation, superior copies. With greater ease-of-use for both full-time and first-time operators, the bizhub 500 reduces those long lines at the copier -- and provides special features like 600 dpi equivalent copy resolution to make every document look more professional.

IC-204 Print Controller option. Driven by the Emperon™ Print System, the IC-204 provides powerful desktop control of PCL 5e/PCL 6 and PostScript 3 emulation printing and finishing through a user-friendly interface.

Faster scanning to more destinations. At up to 70 originals per minute, you’ll bring information into your workflow faster -- with Scan-to-Email, Scan-to-FTP, Scan-to-PC (SMB), even Scan-to-HDD (User Box) on an optional 40 GB hard drive for storing and sharing documents.

User Box functionality. You can scan documents to individual user boxes with industry-leading functionality (Save/Print/Route/Move/Copy) to make storing, sharing and distributing documents fast and efficient.

Enhanced security. To protect vital information in the age of networked distribution, the bizhub 500 provides increased security protection -- HDD Job Erase, HDD Sanitizing, HDD Lock function, Copy Protect, Secure Printing, IP Address Filtering, User Authentication, Scan Encryption, optional HDD Encryption and more (including pending ISO 15408 Certification).

Simitri® Polymerized Toner. The Exclusive Konica Minolta technology that uses ultra-fine particles of smaller size and more consistent shape to sharpen image detail, make text more legible and increase halftone definition.

5,650-sheet maximum paper capacity. You can work longer without re-loading paper, load up to 110 lb. index stock from bypass and copy, scan or duplex originals up to 11” x 17” in size.

Super G3 Fax option. A simple fax option enables the bizhub 500 to handle your traffic with all-in-one functionality, so you can eliminate redundant and underutilized equipment -- and you'll have productivity features such as multi-address locations, broadcasting, program dialing, IP Address Faxing and other advanced capabilities, plus an optional 2nd phone line for increased fax input/output capacity.

Production-quality finishing options. Print in-house and on-demand, with modular options for 60-page saddle-stitch booklet-making, 50-sheet stapling, and 2/3-hole punching.

3-Way tilting control panel. Large function keys and simple touch-screen command interface provide comfortable, intuitive operation -- and tilting design allows wheelchair access.
